The owner of Physio One Racing shared fascinating insights into his role as the physiotherapist for the Belgium Yamaha KM99 team in the FIM Endurance World Championship (FIM EWC) and the Boutsen-VDS Racing team in the Fanatec GT3 World Challenge Championship. With nearly 30 years of experience treating world-class athletes in the intense arenas of car and motorcycle endurance championships, Davies emphasizes the critical balance between peak performance and recovery. For him, STORZ MEDICAL’s approach – pioneering innovative solutions for musculoskeletal challenges with EMTT – has been a game-changer. EMTT has become an essential tool in his practice, following him around the world like a true globetrotter across all circuits managing post-crash injuries and ensuring a safe, fast return to competition.
STORZ MEDICAL at the 11th Shockwave Medical Conference in Beijing
We were thrilled to join the 11th Shockwave Medical Conference in Beijing, hosted by the CSMA (Chinese Shockwave Medical Association). Together with our local partner KANGRUIDA, we showcased the latest in shockwave therapy innovation. Special thanks to Yves de Vos from the UK, who delivered an inspiring lecture on low-intensity ESWT for men’s and women’s health. With the recent NMPA registration of the DUOLITH T-Top »ultra«, we’re excited to expand workshops and training opportunities in China!
Shock Wave Seoul 2024: Innovations, Insights, and Inspiration
Over 300 participants joined in Seoul to explore cutting-edge innovations in Shock Wave Therapy presented by 12 international experts. Prof. Dr. Karsten Knobloch showcased groundbreaking cases combining EMTT and ESWT. Dr. Jeonga Ko revealed innovative facial treatment protocols with ESWT. Paul Hobrough shared an inspiring case of a boy regaining the ability to walk thanks to ESWT. The former Korean national soccer team goalkeeper and the medical coach of the Indonesian national soccer team both highlighted the therapy’s pivotal role in sports. Successful Showcase at BASEM Annual Conference: Advancing Regenerative Medicine!
The Annual Conference of the British Association of Sports Medicine and Exercise brought together 450 professionals for an inspiring and knowledge-packed event. With international speakers from Australia, the USA, and beyond, the conference highlighted cutting-edge research and practical advancements in the field. A highlight of the event was the workshop led by Prof. Karsten Hollander, who provided expert insights into »Return to Sport for In-Season Athletes.« His session underscored the critical role of ESWT and EMTT in facilitating faster, safer recoveries for athletes.
Highlights from FIMS 2024 in Dubai
From October 24 to 27, we proudly showcased our DUOLITH SD1 T-TOP »ultra« and MASTERPULS ultra+ as well as the MAGNETOLITH ultra+ devices at the 38th World Congress of Sports Medicine (FIMS) in Dubai. A key moment was D. Abdullah Al Rahoomi`s presentation on ESWT, where he shared his clinical experiences using our devices in sports medicine, both independently and alongside other therapies.

The 2024 Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii, showcased not only elite athleticism but also cutting-edge advancements in sports medicine. As a key participant in the event’s Medical Symposium, STORZ MEDICAL solidified its role as a pioneer in innovative therapy solutions. A standout moment was the captivating presentation by Dr. Adam Tenforde of Harvard Medical School and Prof. Dr. Ludger Gerdesmeyer of MedBaltic. They shared groundbreaking insights on ESWT and EMTT, demonstrating their potential to revolutionize recovery and injury prevention for endurance athletes. Adding to the event’s excitement, Prof. Dr. Gerdesmeyer not only shared his expertise but also competed in the Ironman race, finishing in an impressive 11:11:30 in the 60–64 age group.

From October 4 to 6, 2024, the National Conference of the Association for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation brought together over 230 delegates in Hisarya, Bulgaria, for a deep dive into cutting-edge advancements in physical therapy. With a strong focus on interdisciplinary collaboration, the event featured international experts from Italy, Slovenia, Romania, and Poland. Distributor Training Days in Delhi
Our distribution partner KARL STORZ hosted an engaging and intensive training session on ESWL at its India office in Delhi. Clinic INOVIUM NEURO, led by Dr. Tihomir V. Ilic, has introduced Serbia’s first NEUROLITH device, marking a new step in neuromodulatory treatment for neurodegenerative diseases like ALS, Alzheimer’s, and atypical Parkinsonism. Dr. Ilic highlighted the need for innovation in the face of limited treatment options: “Shouldn’t we explore every avenue for diseases with no effective treatments? Real-world data and collaborative networks could accelerate solutions in neuromodulation.” This milestone reflects a commitment to combining science and hope for patients in need.
Advanced Alzheimer’s Treatment Now Available at Switzerland’s Leading Neurological Rehab Clinic
Rehaklinik Zihlschlacht in Thurgau, Switzerland, has specialized exclusively in neurorehabilitation since 1989. Renowned nationally and internationally, the clinic integrates cutting-edge therapies like Transcranial Pulse Stimulation (TPS) and actively participates in scientific research. Our participation in the Congress of the German Society for Neurology in Berlin from 12 – 15 November was a fantastic opportunity to connect with experts and showcase our latest innovations. Exciting Insights from the 1st International TPS Symposium
The 1st International TPS Symposium, held on October 11 and 12 at the Alexius/Josef Hospital in Neuss, Germany, brought together global experts to explore advancements in Transcranial Pulse Stimulation (TPS). The event highlighted cutting-edge research and promising applications for TPS in neurological and psychiatric fields. Studies showcased TPS’s positive impact on cognitive and depressive symptoms in Alzheimer’s patients. While booster sessions are common, standardized protocols for session intervals are still under development. Discussions emphasized TPS’s potential in treating conditions like depression, addiction, and Parkinson’s disease.

Future Day at STORZ MEDICAL
The Future Day offers children the opportunity to gain insights into the working world and explore new perspectives for their future, allowing them to discover various professions and learn more about the work of their parents or relatives. On November 9, we welcomed three young visitors, giving them insights into medical technology, how shockwave devices work, and career opportunities in our field. They also experienced their relatives’ daily work routines up close. An inspiring day where we hope to have contributed a little to their career orientation!
